1 coarsely chopped carrot

1 cup split red lentils
1 1.2 liter water

Rinse lentils and drain. Combine
carrots, onion, potato and water in a pot, simmer,
uncovered until they are tender. Add to blender and
puree until smooth. Simmer another 10 minutes with
seasonings. Season to taste with salt if more is desired.
